Robbinschilds: night of events at the Christchurch Arts Centre

Join current artists in residence, robbinschilds for a workshop and artist talk.

 

5:30–7pm Movement workshop

Location: The Great Hall, the Arts Centre

 

robbinschilds will guide participants through a series of experiential exercises reflecting the company's focus on site responsive performance work. 

 

This workshop is designed to attune participants to some of the themes present in robbinschilds practice including: the collaborative body, states of being (animate, inanimate and "extra-pedestrian"), and the roles of viewer, director and performer.

 

No formal movement or performance experience necessary. All welcome. Please wear clothes you can move in!

 

7–9pm Artist talk

Location: School of Art Room 4 (behind Annie’s Wine bar), corner Hereford St and Rolleston Ave

 

robbinschilds will present an artist talk, sharing excerpts of previous works and discourse on their practice. This will be followed by a group discussion and question & answer session. Refreshments will be provided.

 

Please Note: Participants are welcome to attend both or either sessions. Sorry, this event is not suitable for children.
