Southern Lights Company Seeks New Zealand Choreographer
Successfully launched in 2009 with works by Shona McCullagh, Fleur de Thier and US choreographer Zoe Scofield, Christchurch’s Southern Lights Dance Company is now seeking expressions of interest from NZ choreographers for its 2010 season.
The work will be around the 15-30 minute mark with between 1 and 6 dancers, and will form part of the programme that will premiere at the end of the Body Festival in early October and then hopefully embark on a small tour to other NZ festivals including Otago, Nelson and Tempo.
The company would like submissions from NZ choreographers who are interested in making a work for this new company and who are available in the late August – early October period. The deadline for submissions is Friday 29th January 2010.
