DANZ (Dance Aotearoa New Zealand) Workshops and Strategy

DANZ consulted the dance industry this year and the NZ Dance Industry Strategy was launched in Parliament on Sept 9th 2008

The Dance Industry Draft Action Plan and Blue print for Action with be available for industry consultation by February 2009.
 
DANZ is a member of the international Dance Masterplan group. Many nations, across the world, have developed dance strategies in recent years and the move is to work together on strategies.
 
In regards the wider arts development, the NZ Ministry of Culture and Heritage have just completed a consultation of key arts organisations and produced a draft report which will be forwarded to the new Arts Minister.
